Cathy Coote is an award-winning writer and journalist.

She has won both the Sydney Morning Herald and Canberra Times Young Writer of the Year awards.

Her novel Innocents was published in Australia by Random House, in the US by Grove Atlantic and in Dutch translation by Ambo/Anthos.

Her magazine journalism concentrates on environmental issues and sustainable living.

She currently lives in Melbourne.
